I'M BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got side tracked for a few days due to at home nonsense. But I started doing a different kind of listing on my ebay store. I have searched through my list of all the books I have done in miniature to date. I found a number of series that I stopped listing on ebay as they didn't seem very popular.  I love them all and couldn't figure out why they were selling. So, I took them off of ebay and they sit languishing in their storage boxes.

I decided to sell them as set with drastically reduced prices. So far I have listed sets of Curious George, Olivia the Pig Adventures, Barbar books in English and Babar books in French. My ebay store is Miniature Books by Lee Ann (leeann1948)

They are listed in 1:12 scale in my ebay store and ALSO AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST IN 1:6 SCALE WHICH IS PLAYSCALE, BARBIE SCALE ( 1 AND 11/16  inches high by 1 and 5/16 inches wide and 1/4 inch thick), 1:4 scale suitable for MSD dolls 40 cm (15.5 inch) tall (measures 2 AND ½  inches high by 1 and ¾ inches wide and ¼ inch thick) and 1:3 scale suitable for American Girl Dolls or 18 inch dolls (measures 3 and 3/8 inches high by 2 and 1/2 inches wide by 7/16 inch thick).

Here are their pictures.

Good Morning! Once I decided to create miniature versions of some of the Trixie Belden books, I started reading them again. It was great fun. I was surprised to see that they are still relevant to my memories of high school. I don’t think my granddaughter would agree at all. LOLOLOLOL

So now onward with Trixie Belden.

TRIXIE BELDEN FROM MY CHILDHOOD

Good Morning!! I belong to a Trixie Belden facebook group. It facinates me that so many people still love Trixie. I remember getting my first Trixie book in grade school. It was the 5th book in the series Mystery Off Glen Road. Oh the adventures they had. I had learned to ride horses. Well, kind of and not well. But I did love it. My best friend, Cindy Higgs, had a horse and a pony. I got to scrape me off his saddle under a hanging branch one day. Anyway, I thought the adventures Trixie and Honey had were wonderful. Later I started collecting the books and gave them to my daughter to read. She loved them too. Somewhere during my many moves over the years the collection got lost. But I started making miniature versions of the books a few years ago. Now I have the first 14 books made in miniature in six scales. Let's start with the first book and go from there for the next weeks. Excuse the crazy typing my computer keyboard has gone nuts.

THE SECRET OF THE MANSION is a handcrafted, hardbound modified miniature reproduction of the first Trixie Belden mystery, The Secret Of The Mansion by Julie Campbell originally published in 1948. This volume contains the full text of Chapter 1 in 30 pages including 15 illustrations by Mary Stevens from throughout the rest of the book.

Good Morning! I've been thinking about when I started making miniature books going on 25 years ago. I had made many different miniatures before I tried miniature books. Some were successful other were not so great. I made simple miniature items in my childhood for my dolls. Later a dear friend gave my then 6 year old daughter a dollhouse. That was my adult start in making miniatures. Miniature books came about when I built a room box that was supposed to be a tribute to a dear friend who had passed away years before. It is called A Gentleman's Study. I needed books and found they were rather expensive for my budget. I made a few very simple blank page, paperback style books, but just wasn't satisfied. It took me about six months to figure out how to make the books I make now. One of the early books was a modified version of Alice in Wonderland followed by Through the Looking Glass. Here are both with all their sizes available.
