I just finished two more of the medieval illuminated manuscripts that I love.

1:12 SCALE MINIATURE MEDIEVAL BOOK OF KELLS MEDIEVAL

The Book of Kells is a handcrafted, hardbound miniature reproduction containing selected pages from The Book of Kells which is a copy of the four Gospels in Latin. It is known for the extraordinary array of pictures, interlaced shapes and ornamental details. It is thought to have been the work of several individual scribes over many years, likely before A.D. 806. The manuscript was held at Kells until 1661 when it was moved to Dublin where it remains as the chief treasure of Trinity College Library.
It was once stolen and its golden cover, which was probably encrusted with gems, was ripped from the book, and the remainder was thrown in a ditch. The book was soon recovered, but not before it received some water damage to the front and back pages. Unfortunately, its cover was forever lost.

This volume consists of 28 pages not including the colorful end sheets and measures 7/8 inch wide by 1 1/8 inch long by 3/6 inch thick.
