Today I am featuring Alphabet Old Friends in blue. I am specifying the color of the cover because there is an original cover in green tone with a totally different design. I need to do some work on it before I display it. I spend a lot of time trying to make my miniature books look outstanding. I research the authors and the history of the books themselves.
ALPHABET OLD FRIENDS is a hardbound, handmade miniature reproduction of Walter
Crane’s Alphabet Old Friends originally published
by George Routledge and Sons Publishers in 1875. It is number 73 of Routledge’s Six Penny Toy Books re-issued at a later
date. It contains 12 pages (not
including the flyleaves) with the complete text and 6 full color plates. This
volume is 31/32 inches high by 25/32 inches wide and 1/8 inch thick.
