Wow! Time got away from me!!!! MORE WALTER CRANE

I definitely lost track of time dealing with some family issues. But now I am back with Walter Crane. I did a lot of work with Walter Crane books years ago and enjoyed it immensely. My miniature versions of some of Walter Crane's books were quite popular for a while. After interest slowed down on his books, I moved on to other books. Recently I was looking at my Walter Crane files and fell in love with his books again. Walter Crane, Kate Greenaway and Randolph Caldicott were the best in children's books in their day.  I actually found some of Walter Crane's books in my files that I had not finished making into miniature books.  I am looking forward to seeing how they turn out. Right now, I am sharing one of his Sixpenny Toy Books with you.

CINDERELLA is a hardbound, handmade miniature reproduction of Cinderella by Walter Crane originally published by George Routledge and Sons Publishers in1873 as #106 of the Six Penny Toy Books.  It contains 10 pages (not including the flyleaves) with the complete text and 8 full color plates. This volume is 31/32 inches high by 25/32 inches wide and 1/8 inch thick.
